On July 11th my book ‘Retire Like You’re on Apollo 13’ was released to Amazon in Kindle, Softcover, and Hardcover formats. The book took me a year and a half to write. I didn’t use a ghostwriter or AI. I did use Grammarly software to edit because I suck at grammar. (Grammarly froze up on “Ain’t got no…”)
Here is the Table of contents.
Introduction 5
Chapter 1 – Preliminary Brief 17
Chapter 2 – Pre-Launch ‘The 120-page Plan’ 23
Chapter 3 – Pre-Launch ‘The Checklist’ 48
Chapter 4 – Pre-Launch Planning Social Security Benefits 82
Chapter 5 – Pre-Launch Planning Taxes 117
Chapter 6 – Launch Day Your Spaceship Awaits You 158
Chapter 7 – Choosing your Mission Control 213
Chapter 8 – Failure is Not an Option 229
I published this book and the people I paid, think it could be a best seller! So that is something. The book contains 8 chapters plus the introduction. The introduction is about Subhani and myself, but mostly about myself. Chapter 1 is an overview about Apollo 13 in case my reader is unfamiliar with the story.
This book walks you through the steps that are needed to plan retirement and the approach to investments that give you the best chance of ‘not’ having an oxygen tank explosion in your retirement. Hint: it’s cash flow (say it like a late night DJ).
I have also received some comments since the book published,
“Brian’s approach to educating workers on the critical steps, and possible missteps, to retirement planning is presented in a very entertaining and unique way! As we prepare to board the “retirement trip,” he provides us with humorous anecdotes, examples of critical decisions to be made, and actionable tips at every stage. Brian is enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, and funny as he correlates retirement planning to the Apollo 13 mission.” -Martha Shedden, CRPC and President of the National Association of Registered Social Security Analysts
“Brian’s book covers a wide range of financial topics with thorough and thoughtful detail. He excels at simplifying complex subjects for the average reader. As a Certified Financial Fiduciary®, Brian not only adheres to a strict code of conduct but also consistently prioritizes his clients’ best interests. This book is a reflection of that mentality and is a must-read.” – Rick McClanahan Founder CEO, National Association of Certified Financial Fiduciaries, NACFF
I recommend you go to Amazon and order a copy today! If you don’t get a copy of my book just remember, I hold grudges.
What is happening in the Markets?
By Brian Keith Moon
The markets have been off their highs recently. Is this it? Will the market crash?
The market as seen looking at the S&P 5002 is off its high for the year but not yet in a ‘correction’.
